Time Management
Time spent on coursework will be the difference between a graduate student and Master's Degree graduate. This chapter provides a planner for managing your courses. Consider this as the appetizer to your body of work. This chapter will cover the essential components of the prospectus andI will share some helpful tips on how to pass this phase.
Literature Review
This is the entree to your body of work. Chapter 2 is where you will demonstrate the gap in the literature and the importance of your topic to the chairman and committee members.
Methodology
These are your side orders. You will draft your plan for achieving the outlined objectives you created for your body of work. Alignment is extremely important during this step. Your research method(s) should align with your program and study objectives.
Results
Time to order your desserts. This is where you will display your finding(s) and outline how your body of work proves or disproves your hypothesis.
Conclusion
Time to leave a review.Tie your body of work together and summarize each chapter with a strong conclusion.
Dissertation Defense
Know your work and execute it with confidence. At this level, you can talk about your research without a script. Know the strengths and limitations of your study and anticipate questions from your chairman or committee members; this is par for the course.
Now that you have done the work, it's time to celebrate in style if you have passed your defense. There are a few steps post-defense, like URR review, and you may have some edits, but for the most part, you are officially a doctor and a part of the 1% of the global population with a doctorate.
